Alia Bhatt is getting ready for the theatrical release of her Sanjay Leela Bhansali helmed period drama Gangubai. As the promotion goes ahead, We have learned that her follow-up film following Gangubai will be immediately digital. In addition, our sources say. During summer, darlings will mark her first film as a producer with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, a direct digital debut at Netflix.
“It’s a dark comedy, and the producers believed that it would be capable of reaching its intended viewers through its OTT medium. The film will be available on Amazon Prime this summer and is in the post-production stage. The source says it’s in the same zone as the soon-to-be-released Gehraiyaan directed by Deepika Padukone. The film earned between 80-85 crores for the Amazon Prime premiere. It was an element of Dharma Productions deal with the streaming service, which gained massive profit from the Shershaah. Speaking of Darlings is a darkly comedic film about a mother-daughter relationship.
