UAE Weather: Rain, Strong Winds Forecast for Five Days

by WM_admin

The UAE faces five days of possible rain, strong winds and cooler conditions in some areas, with the NCM warning of dust and reduced visibility

Dubai: Unstable weather conditions are expected to continue across parts of the UAE, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasting scattered rainfall, strong winds and changing temperatures over the coming days.

The weather pattern could affect Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Dubai, Al Ain and parts of Abu Dhabi.

According to the NCM, a low-pressure system is bringing convective clouds over eastern areas. These clouds could extend towards inland and western regions, increasing the chances of afternoon rainfall.

Rain and Strong Winds Expected

The NCM forecasts intermittent showers through the week, particularly across eastern and mountainous areas.

Strong winds could reach 50 km/h in some locations. These gusts may raise dust and reduce visibility on roads.

Small hail is also possible in areas experiencing stronger convective cloud development. However, forecasters do not expect widespread hailstorms.

Temperatures Remain High

Despite the unsettled weather, daytime temperatures remain relatively high.

Dubai and Sharjah could reach 39°C, while Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah may record 38°C. Fujairah is expected to remain cooler at around 33°C.

Humidity could increase overnight, bringing fog or mist to some coastal and inland areas.

What to Expect Next

The low-pressure system is expected to weaken gradually around October 23 and 24. However, lingering atmospheric moisture could continue supporting cloud formation over mountainous areas.

Residents should monitor official NCM updates as local weather conditions may change quickly.

Impact to Expect

Motorists should expect occasional poor visibility from dust, fog and rainfall. Outdoor activities may also face brief disruptions, particularly in eastern areas.

Authorities advise drivers to reduce speed during adverse weather and avoid flooded roads. Residents should follow official alerts before travelling.
