The new Aster breast clinic at Al Qusais, Dubai, offers coordinated breast screening, diagnosis, cancer treatment, reconstruction and recovery support, bringing multiple specialists together to simplify women’s healthcare journeys.
DUBAI: Women seeking breast screening, cancer diagnosis and treatment in Dubai now have access to a dedicated multidisciplinary service following the launch of the Aster breast clinic at Aster Hospital Al Qusais.
Officially opened on October 1, 2026, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the facility brings together specialists across surgery, oncology, radiology and reconstruction to provide coordinated care from initial assessment through recovery.
The initiative aims to simplify treatment, improve access to medical expertise and support women managing breast cancer, benign breast conditions and high-risk cases.
Why is the new breast clinic important?
Breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in the UAE.
According to the UAE National Cancer Registry Annual Report 2023, breast cancer accounted for 36.6 per cent of invasive cancer cases among women, with 1,445 cases recorded that year.
The figures highlight the importance of timely assessment, appropriate screening and access to specialist healthcare services.
What services does the clinic offer?
The Aster breast clinic provides a coordinated care pathway covering consultations, breast ultrasound, MRI, biopsies, cancer surgery, oncology treatment and breast reconstruction.
Mammography is available through a partner imaging facility.
Patients can also access nutrition advice, rehabilitation and supportive care based on their individual medical requirements.
A multidisciplinary team works together to determine appropriate treatment plans, reducing the need for patients to coordinate separate consultations independently.
Dedicated nurse and concierge support
An important feature of the new service is its dedicated Breast Care Nurse, who helps patients understand treatment plans, manage clinical instructions and navigate follow-up appointments.
The nurse also coordinates communication between patients and medical specialists throughout treatment and recovery.
A separate concierge team assists with appointment bookings, hospital procedures and administrative arrangements.
Patients and families can additionally access emotional and community support through COSMOS, Aster Volunteers’ cancer support programme.
What have Aster healthcare officials said?
Dr Sherbaz Bichu, Group Chief Operating Officer-GCC at Aster DM Healthcare, highlighted the importance of early detection and coordinated treatment.
He said the new facility aims to improve access to specialist assessment and diagnosis while supporting earlier intervention.
Dr Hafsa Salim Daber, Specialist General and Laparoscopic Surgery at Aster Hospital Al Qusais, emphasised that breast health requirements differ between patients, making personalised assessment and treatment important.
Where is the new clinic located?
The Aster breast clinic is located on the first floor of Aster Hospital Al Qusais, Dubai.
Women experiencing breast changes or concerns are encouraged to seek medical advice, while screening decisions should reflect individual age, risk factors and clinical recommendations.
Impact to expect
The new facility could improve access to coordinated breast healthcare in Dubai, support earlier diagnosis and reduce the complexity of treatment for patients. Its integrated approach may also strengthen awareness of breast health and improve access to emotional and practical support during recovery.
