The UAE has prepared 10,000 winter aid kits containing 70,000 essential items for Gaza, supporting a humanitarian campaign that aims to reach one million people
ABU DHABI: The UAE has prepared 10,000 winter aid kits containing 70,000 clothing and heating items to support Palestinian families in Gaza ahead of the colder months.
The Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Endowment contributed the supplies under the Winter Clothing initiative, part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. The campaign aims to reach one million beneficiaries across Gaza, helping vulnerable families cope with difficult winter conditions.
Volunteers Prepare Winter Supplies for Shipment
Volunteers packed the relief kits at Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities, bringing together students and community members to support the humanitarian effort.
Hamoud Al Afari, Director of UAE Relief Operations under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, confirmed that volunteers prepared the supplies for shipment to Gaza.
He highlighted the role of young people, educational institutions and humanitarian organisations in supporting families affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
The kits contain essential clothing and heating supplies designed to help families stay warm during winter.
UAE Winter Campaign Targets One Million People
The latest contribution forms part of a wider UAE campaign launched in September 2026. Earlier, the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation contributed 5,000 winter kits containing 50,000 jackets, blankets and other essentials.
The initiative seeks to protect vulnerable families, particularly children and displaced residents, from falling temperatures and difficult living conditions. According to Al Afari, the UAE has delivered more than 131,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Gaza, valued at $4.16 billion.
He said this represents 46% of all humanitarian assistance delivered to the territory worldwide.
Impact to Expect
The 10,000 winter kits will help Palestinian families access essential clothing and heating supplies during colder months. The initiative also strengthens the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian response through community participation and coordinated relief operations.
