The 1 Billion Followers Summit and National Media Authority have launched the 100 Dreams initiative with entrepreneur Simon Squibb, offering 100 content creators $10,000 each, mentorship and business support to turn their ideas into companies in the UAE.

DUBAI: The UAE has launched the 100 Dreams initiative, a $1 million programme designed to help 100 aspiring content creators turn their ideas into successful businesses.

The 1 Billion Followers Summit and the National Media Authority announced the initiative on October 15, 2026, in collaboration with British entrepreneur and content creator Simon Squibb.

Each selected participant will receive $10,000 (approximately Dh36,700), along with entrepreneurship training, mentorship and assistance with setting up a business in the UAE.

Organisers announced the programme during a press conference at Creators HQ in Dubai.

What is the 100 Dreams initiative?

The 100 Dreams initiative aims to help talented individuals transform creative ideas into sustainable businesses.

It targets aspiring entrepreneurs working in content creation, digital media and related industries.

The programme will select 100 applicants and provide a combined $1 million in funding.

Participants will also receive support with trade licences, business planning and professional networking.

Organisers hope the initiative will help creators establish companies in the UAE and eventually expand into international markets.

What will selected content creators receive?

The programme offers more than financial assistance.

Each selected creator will receive six weeks of free entrepreneurship training and mentorship.

Training will cover branding, sales, social media growth, sponsorships and business development.

Participants will also gain access to experienced entrepreneurs and industry professionals.

Simon Squibb, founder of Dream Group, will contribute his business experience and professional network to help participants develop commercially viable ideas.

The programme aims to equip creators with practical skills that support long-term income and business growth.

How can content creators apply?

Interested applicants can join the waiting list through the initiative’s official website.

Applications are expected to open on November 20, 2026.

Organisers will consider factors such as creativity, business potential, authenticity and the applicant’s ability to develop an idea.

Applicants should prepare a clear explanation of their proposed business and how they plan to grow it.

The selection process will identify 100 aspiring entrepreneurs who could benefit from financial and professional support.

Why is the UAE investing in content creators?

The UAE wants to strengthen its position as an international hub for digital media and creative entrepreneurship.

The initiative supports this ambition by helping creators move beyond producing online content and establish businesses.

It also forms part of preparations for the fifth 1 Billion Followers Summit.

The summit will take place in Dubai from January 8 to 10, 2027, under the theme Content for Good.

Impact to expect

The programme could create new opportunities for content creators across the UAE and beyond. By offering funding, training and business support, it may encourage entrepreneurship, generate jobs and strengthen the country’s growing digital media economy.
